Molykote G-N Plus is a black solid lubricant paste containing mineral oil and molybdenum disulphide (MoS2). It lowers friction during assembly and initial running-in, and reduces stick-slip and fretting corrosion.

  • Applications: Press-fit assembly of machine elements, running-in of new machines and gearboxes, permanent lubrication of rarely moving parts; lead screws, splined shafts, gears, worm gears, valves, pumps, machine tool slideways, bearing, flange and bolt assembly. Also used in drilling, sawing and threading operations.
  • Features: High load-carrying capacity, low coefficient of friction, good surface coverage (approx. 40 m²/kg).
  • Typical properties: NLGI 1–2; operating temperature -18 °C to +400 °C.
